Celebrities who love Christian Louboutin shoes

We’d always assumed Christian Louboutin’s path to red-soled success was a smooth one. But, speaking at the Fashion Institute of Technology’s annual commencement last week, he revealed it was in fact studded with the same difficulties that many face.
After her show-stopping heels took a break for the Maleficent premiere in Los Angeles last Thursday, Angelina Jolie is once again wearing her custom Christian Louboutin heels while promoting the smash film in Shanghai on June 3.

Paired with a long-sleeved Michael Kors black dress, the Oscar winner, 38, made a statement in the horn-inspired gold wedges that the celeb-loved shoe designer produced in black, white and red as well.
At one point he even stepped away from designing shoes to try and carve out a career in landscape gardening as he was so fed up (his partner Louis Benech is also a landscape gardener).

“If you ask me if I felt stupid wasting time [gardening], I would say absolutely not. You need a lot of patience for a gardener; I wouldn’t give up one second of my gardening experience,” he told the congregation of graduating student, recounted by Racked.com. “You are at a wonderful age where you can [still] chance your path. Don’t decide, when you start something, that this is it. You can still decide and change things around.”
Other pearls of wisdom offered by the designer included his belief that you should disregard “preconceived ideas, like never sleep where you work and never work with friends.”
“I slept in my design studio for eight years with no showers, and I started a company with my two best friends and 23 years later, we are still the three best friends. I think that everyone should have their own words [to live by].”
So too should you eschew specific goals and instead enjoy the process: “The journey of every day, that becomes a career, that is what achievement is.”
“It’s exciting to work with a film that has such a strong aesthetic and a character as great as Maleficent,” Louboutin told Us Weekly. “I’ve been under the charm and spell of Angelina and her character.”

Jolie first wore the eye-catching shoes in black in London at a private exhibition of costumes and props for the film on May 8. She then brought them out the next day in white for the photocall.
